Who We Are

Hi, I’m Laura!

I am a 45-year-old mother of one, residing in the beautiful Ribble Valley area. I first qualified in electrolysis several years ago, providing both hair removal and skin blemish removal. To further expand my expertise, I’ve since qualified in laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and skin rejuvenation.

My journey into this profession stems from personal experience. With naturally dark features came dark, plentiful hair. As I grew older, hormonal changes brought unwanted hair to my chin and neck. Beyond facial hair, the hair on my arms and legs had always been a frustrating annoyance, requiring constant trimming and shaving multiple times weekly.

Throughout my teenage years and twenties, I tried every solution imaginable before finally investing in professional treatments. The results were transformative.

Now in my forties, I realised I couldn’t be alone in dealing with unwanted hair. This revelation inspired me to train professionally, enabling me to help others facing similar challenges. Today, I hold VTCT Level 4 qualifications in both Electrolysis and Laser/IPL treatments, and I’m passionate about helping clients regain their confidence.

Qualifications

Never one for traditional education, I left college and entered the working world immediately. My varied career has included everything from packing biscuits and sweeping hair salons to warehouse work as a teenager before settling for a career in the public sector primarily in the safeguarding arena. I’ve always been practical and hands-on in my approach to life.

Now in my 40’s, I wanted something completely different – to be my own boss whilst continuing to help people, just in a different way. Gaining the necessary qualifications required studying anatomy and physiology before specialising in electrolysis and laser treatments.

I studied and qualified with Sterex, one of the UK’s leading companies for electrolysis training and equipment. Though challenging, the course came naturally to me, and I achieved my VTCT Level 4 qualification. Shortly after qualifying in hair removal, I completed the advanced electrolysis course, enabling me to remove blemishes such as spider veins, skin tags, blood spots, and milia.

Determined to offer comprehensive hair removal services, I pursued VTCT Level 4 qualifications in laser/IPL, tattoo removal, and skin rejuvenation. These areas hold personal significance – I have tattoos from my carefree younger years, made without fully appreciating their permanence.

If I can help remove that bothersome skin tag, that regretted tattoo, or that unwanted hair, then I’m fulfilling my purpose. Helping someone increase their confidence, be themselves, and feel proud of who they are means I’ve done my job properly. I know from personal experience how appearance concerns can profoundly impact self-worth and confidence.
